WHEN a car driver accidentally knocked down a hound during a fox hunt four years ago, the unfortunate animal was propelled into the air before it landed -- in the face of an elderly bystander.
The flying dog hit the woman, a hunting club secretary, knocking her out and causing injuries to her head, hip and knee. The hound died in the incident.
Yesterday, the 81-year-old was awarded €87,000 in damages by the High Court after she sued the driver of the car and her own hunting club.
