FEARS of a monster predator lurking off the Queensland coast have been heightened with the capture of three massive sharks on drumlines.
Minister for Primary Industries and Fisheries Tim Mulherin revealed that three tiger sharks more than 4m long had been caught off popular beaches this year.
An exclusive Sunday Mail report last month suggested a giant white pointer more than 5m long was hanging around after an attack on another big shark.
