THE mercury is rising in Sydney but so is something else, and it is becoming a little too hot to handle. The hemlines on denim shorts are taking a trip north.
A polite pair of cut-offs have now morphed into the equivalent of denim underwear, dubbed, rather crudely, ''bum eaters'' by designers as well as some perplexed onlookers watching from behind as the denim gets swallowed up.
Cheeky butt short on style
